Representatives of the Department of Financial Technologies and Entrepreneurship at the International Scientific Conference

The Department of Financial Technologies and Entrepreneurship is proud to announce that two of its esteemed department members, Larysa Hrytsenko – Dr., Prof., Head of the Department and Oleksandra Tverezovska – PhD student, Trainee-lecturer, Deputy Head of the Department for International work with students have participated at the International Scientific Conference: 3A: Accounting, Audit, Analysis: The Modern Economic, Technological and Societal Trends: New Challenges or Opportunities.
The conference was held in Vilnius (Lithuania) in the period of 27-29 of November 2024, which brought together leading academics and industry professionals to discuss the latest trends and challenges in accounting, audit, analysis, accountability, and governance.
The main speakers were:
PhD Ranadeva Jayasekera – Professor of Accounting the Trinity Business School, University of Dublin, and an associate in Finance at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.
Jonas Akelis – EY Assurance Partner in the Baltic States, Lithuania;
Kelum Jayasinghe – Professor in Accounting and Development Policy, at the University of Sheffield, UK;
Teerooven Soobaroyen – Professor in Accounting at the Aston University, UK;
Jonas Balsys – Capital markets transactions, technical accounting, ESG, structuring Director, Broader Assurance Services leader, PwC Lithuania;
Jonas Drasutis – Country Manager & Chief Financial Officer at Nikulipe, a fellow member of ACCA;
Onur Erisen – PhD at the Marmara University, Turkey.
Moreover, one of the main speakers – Dr. Ranadeva Jayasekera is one of the estimated foreign lecturers at the ERI BIEM. In 2018 he visited Sumy State University and conducted the lecture on the topic: Managerial Perceptions of Wealth: Evidence from the Cumulative Prospect Theory (https://fintech.biem.sumdu.edu.ua/ranadeva-dzhaiasekera-dr-ranadeva-jayasekera-dotsent-bukhhalterskoho-obliku-ta-finansiv-triniti-biznes-shkoly-v-dulini-vidvidav-institut).
During the conference a lot of workshops and plenary sessions were held. Larysa Hrytsenko was as a session moderator and discussant at the conference. Oleksandra Tverezovska has presented the results of the future PhD thesis on the topic: “Bibliometric Analysis of Infrastructure and Sustainable Infrastructure Projects: Implications for Ukraine’s Reconstruction and Sustainable Development” under the guidance of her two scientific advisors from Sumy State University (Prof. Larysa Hrytsenko) and Vilnius University (Prof. Rasa Subačienė).
