On December 5, 2025, PhD, Senior Lecturer of the Department Anastasiia SAMOILIKOVA, together with first-year students of the BiEM Institute Daria SKRYPNYK (Educational Program “Banking”), Anastasiia SYTNYK (“Entrepreneurship”), Daria ANDRIIENKO (“Marketing”), and Bohdana BORONINA (“International Economic Relations”), shared their experiences of teaching and studying the service learning course “Entrepreneurship and Digital Business Communications” during the workshop “Reflective Analysis of the Service-Learning Experience within the SerVU Project”, held at SumDU in a mix format.
The event brought together SumDU representatives – the SerVU Project team, students and lecturers of service-learning courses, partners, and community representatives. The students shared their impressions of the socially significant activities they conducted within the Sumy Territorial Community, discussed the challenges they faced, and expressed their emotions regarding the outcomes achieved. Service-learning fosters students’ ability to take action, create change, and support local development, providing not only knowledge but also practical experience, competencies, soft skills, leadership potential, and an understanding of their role in the community. Community representatives also expressed positive feedback and interest in continuing such collaboration in the future.
