From November 4 to 12, the third-year student of specialty 072 “Finance, Banking and Insurance” Iryna Kozhushko took part in the youth training course “Youth work done by you(th)”, which took place in Monte Barro, Italy. The project participants were teams from Italy, Poland, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Georgia, and Turkey. The main goal of the training was to study new methods and tools of non-formal education, the possibilities of their implementation in the educational process and work with young people, as well as the stages and elements of projects realization. Participation in such kind of international activity is an important element of our students’ development as a part of international environment, formation of intercultural competencies, broadening their horizons, establishing a wide range of contacts and personal development.
Iryna shares her impressions after returning: “I was lucky enough to take part in the “Youth work done by you(th)” training course. It was seven days of productive work, activities, communication, and work in intercultural teams. The training course was held in the Italian Alps near the city of Lecco, so in addition to learning about youth work techniques such as storytelling and role-playing, as well as the principles of evaluation, feedback, and debriefing, we had a great opportunity to spend our free time climbing mountains and enjoying the unsurpassed views with new friends from different countries. Thanks to the training, I gained not only valuable knowledge about non-formal education, but also improved my personal and communication skills, found new friends with whom I had the opportunity not only to communicate, but also to share experiences and find new ideas.”
