Emotional stability is a person’s ability to effectively cope with stressful situations, to remain calm and optimistic even in difficult circumstances. For students studying in war conditions, this quality takes on special importance.
On August 28, as part of the project “Psychosocial support of children and parents in the Sumy region through the education system”, with the support of the international organization Action Contre la Faim France (ACF France), a meeting was held for students of the department of financial technologies and entrepreneurship with the aim of emotional stabilization of students at the beginning of the academic year in the conditions of war. The speaker of the meeting was Yevhenia Dudetska, a practicing psychologist, specialist in psychosocial support, psychologist of Ukrainian Fund “Step by Step”.
The event was attended by students of the 4th year of the specialty “Electronic business, finance and communications” (PTB-11/2bfk, PTB-11/2bfk-2) (lecturer – Oleksandra Tverezovska), students of the 2nd year of the specialty “Finance” (F-31) and specialty “Banking” (BS-31) (lecturer – Hrytsenko Larysa).
During the training, students became aware of their own emotional state, behavioral reactions to a stressful situation, discussed their personal experience of overcoming stress, got acquainted with techniques for building resilience, evaluated changes in the body and thoughts, and looked for resources in today’s conditions.
