On June 17, 2026, the Department of Financial Technologies and Entrepreneurship held the defense of qualification theses by bachelor’s students of the Educational Program “Banking” within Specialty 072 “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market”.
The Examination Board, consisting of Ihor Kasian, Director of Sumy-SEV LLC, PhD in Economics; Tetiana Kasianenko, PhD in Economics; Olena Zhuravko, PhD in Economics and Olena Krukhmal, PhD in Economics, highly appreciated the quality of the presented qualification theses and the students’ performance during the defense.
The topics of the theses addressed a wide range of current issues in the banking and financial sectors, including bank loan portfolio analysis, the application of FinTech technologies in banking, public credit and its role in budget revenue formation, the digitalization of banking settlement and cash services, financial monitoring in bank risk management systems, and the implementation of ESG approaches in banking activities.
Particular attention was paid to several outstanding research projects distinguished by their practical significance, relevance, and high academic quality. These included the thesis by Anastasiia Omelchenko entitled “Assessment of Loan Portfolio Quality Considering ESG Factors”, the thesis by Anastasiia Uzlova “Bank Financial Stability under the Implementation of ESG Approaches”, and the research conducted by Karina Kozynets “Comprehensive Assessment of a Bank Loan Portfolio under Conditions of Macroeconomic Instability”.
The qualification theses demonstrated the graduates’ ability to apply modern methods of financial analysis, risk assessment, and digital technologies to address contemporary challenges in the banking sector.
