From June 27 to July 9, 2025, Anastasiia SAMOILIKOVA, PhD, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Financial Technologies and Entrepreneurship, participated in a coordination meeting at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (Katholische Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt – KUEI) as part of the implementation of the EU Erasmus+ ServU Program project: “Service-learning in Higher Education for Ukraine’s Recovery” (ServU) No. 101128922 – ServU – ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE) with the aim of developing and implementing educational courses for territorial communities of Sumy region.
The visit to KUEI provided valuable knowledge and practical tools for the development of a future Service-Learning Course “Entrepreneurship and Digital Business Communications”. Productive discussions with professors and project leaders – including Prof. Dr. André Habisch, Dean of Ingolstadt School of Management at KU and Professor for Social Ethics and Social Policy, Prof. Dr. Rowena Roppelt, Dr. Marina Tsoi and Maria Müller-Pulsfuß from the Service-Learning project “Jesuit Worldwide Learning”, Patrizia Hartmann, Sustainability Coordinator at KU, Prof. Dr. Harald Pechlaner, Holder of the Chair of Tourism, Head of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Founding Chair of the School of Transformation and Sustainability, and Dr. Ann-Kathrin Bremer, Research associate at the Professorship for Geography Didactics and Education for Sustainable Development – offered inspiring examples of service-learning.
The collaboration in a teaching tandem with Ms. Kerstin Haag, Research Associate, was particularly valuable, deepening the understanding of the methodology of socially oriented learning. This experience will directly influence and enrich the future development of service-learning at Sumy State University
