Updating Tax-Related Academic Disciplines: Outcomes of a Professional Webinar

On February 24, 2026, Liudmyla Zakharkina, a lecturer of the department, participated in the webinar organized by the LIGA ZAKON Academy entitled “Tax Audits 2026: What Should Businesses Expect?”, which was held in a live online format.
The webinar addressed current issues related to the planning and implementation of tax audits in 2026, including the risk-oriented approach to forming schedules of documentary audits, criteria for selecting taxpayers, audit coverage periods, as well as practical aspects of international tax transparency and automatic exchange of tax information.
Particular attention was paid to practical recommendations for businesses, including preparation for tax audits, proper documentation of primary records, interaction with tax authorities, and the administrative procedure for appealing audit results.
The webinar also demonstrated the capabilities of the analytical and legal platform LIGA360, which provides access to up-to-date tax legislation, official explanations of supervisory authorities, court practice, and analytical materials for assessing tax risks.
The speaker of the event was Vladyslav Zhabskyi, an expert in tax law and tax audit practice.
The materials and practical cases obtained will be used for the preparation and delivery of classes in the course “Corporate Taxation” and will also be taken into account when refining and supplementing the teaching and methodological content of the elective master’s-level course “Tax Planning and Compliance”.
