On February 21, representatives of the department Semenog A.Y., Brychko M. M., Bondarenko E. K., Litvinenko A. V. participated in the international conference “Digital currencies of central banks: new opportunities for payments”, organized by the National Bank of Ukraine with the support of USAID, the IMF and the World Bank.
The conference launched a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience between central bank representatives and stakeholders, specialists, researchers and scientists from around the world on the potential for the introduction of central banks digital currencies (CBDC) and their place in the financial ecosystems of countries of the world and Ukraine.
During the conference, their views on the implementation of the CBDC were presented by experts from the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, central banks of Japan, South Africa, Uruguay, Finland, Lithuania, Canada and Sweden, representatives of the financial market (banks and fintech), as well as scientists.
It is nice to note that the graduates of the department working in the leading companies of Ukraine were also participants of the conference: Mykhailo Rebrik (Raiffeisen Bank Aval), Bort Nicole (Deloitte Ukraine), Pustovit Andrii (payment service XPAY GROUP LLC), Kremen Victoria (KNUTD).
Knowledge of the opportunities, potential and prospects of implementing the CSBB, their impact on the financial ecosystem, implementation and regulation will necessarily be included in the educational process of the department.
