From 31 October to 30 November, Associate Professors Olha Liuta and Nataliya Pihul from the Department of Financial Technologies and Entrepreneurship undertook a research visit to the University of Liverpool (UK) within the framework of the Twinning Initiative programme.
The visit focused on current issues in finance and regional development, in particular modern approaches to ensuring financial stability, territorial competitiveness and the effective use of financial resources. Special attention was given to the role of universities in supporting post-war recovery, developing entrepreneurial ecosystems and strengthening partnerships between academia, business and local communities.
During the visit, a number of productive meetings were held with researchers at the University of Liverpool. The parties discussed opportunities for joint research projects in the fields of finance, sustainable regional development, digital transformation and change management in universities. Promising directions for long-term cooperation were also outlined, including the preparation of joint grant applications, participation in international research consortia and the organisation of academic events.
The research visit became an important step in strengthening the partnership between Sumy State University and the University of Liverpool, and opened up new opportunities for the development of joint research and academic collaboration.
