Participation of a PhD student in a winter school in Poland!

This year second-year PhD student Kulyk Anzhelika (group Av-11/PBT) had intensive training in the International Inter-disciplinary Winter School Smart Public Space in Prosument Energy Transition organized by the Silesian University of Technol-ogy, Gliwice, Poland under the program SPINAKER of the NAWA Agency and under auspices of EURECA-PRO European Universities Initiative. In the rich training program focused on Energy Management in Sustainable Public Space which consisted of 60 hours of lectures, workshops, lab exercises, industrial visits and social activities took part 30 young scientists from 7 coun-tries.

Apart the informative lectures and workshops the participants had opportunity to attend classes of Polish culture and lan-guage, visit the Nexteer Automotive in town Tychy, the Teatr Rozrywki, the Arena entertainment hall, the brewery museum in Tychy, Jewish Remembrance House, Radio tower in Gliwice, Guido Coal Mine in Zabrze.

PhD student received the opportunity to developed soft skills, improved the research skills and established new international contacts. An additional benefit became good memories and very positive experience. At the end of the School Anzhelika got Cer-tificate which contain information about the basic content and it time dimension, achieved learning outcomes and the correspond-ing equivalent of ECTS points.
