This year, students of the Finance educational programmes at Bachelor’s and Master’s levels, Anastasiia Vyshnevetska (Bachelor’s student) and Alina Babak (Master’s student), took part in an academic mobility programme at Baltazar University of Applied Sciences in Zaprešić, Croatia.
The mobility programme took place from 2 March to 18 July 2026, giving the students an opportunity to study in an international environment, develop their professional competences and gain valuable cultural experience.
The students shared their impressions:
“Academic mobility in Croatia became one of the most memorable experiences of our student life. It was not simply about studying abroad, but also about communicating in English every day, taking part in interesting discussions and working in teams – all of which encouraged us to step outside our comfort zone.
Student life was also very active: walks around the city, volleyball at weekends, trips around Croatia and other countries, as well as an unforgettable Gourmet Day, when each student prepared dishes from their home country.
Academic mobility means making new friends from all over the world, becoming more confident in communicating in English and creating memories for a lifetime. We are immensely grateful to Sumy State University and the Department of Financial Technologies and Entrepreneurship for giving us the opportunity to gain this experience. These are moments we will never forget.”
