SUMY, May 20, on its professional day – “Banker’s Day”, Sumy branch of JSC “UkrSibbank” No. 459 opened its doors to special guests. Students of the specialty “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market” came here for a practical excursion, as well as high school students of grades 10-11 of local schools, who are just choosing their future career path.
The main guide to the world of real banking was the head of the branch, Oleksandr Ustinov. Instead of the usual lectures, young people received a live interactive session and a unique opportunity to see how one of the leading banks of Ukraine works from the inside on the day of their professional holiday.
During the meeting, Oleksandr Ustinov shared with students and schoolchildren the intricacies of the daily work of the department, spoke about modern trends in the digitalization of financial services and explained how the bank manages to combine high technologies with an individual approach to each client.
Young financiers learned about: the features of cash and credit operations in modern conditions; how automation and mobile applications transform the work of a classic branch; what skills (soft and hard skills) are most important for starting a successful career in the financial sector.
“Today, a bank is not just an institution where money is stored, it is a powerful technological hub and a space for financial solutions. It is symbolic that on Banker’s Day we share our experience with those who will shape the financial system of our country tomorrow,” said the head of the branch, Oleksandr Ustinov.
Students had a great opportunity to compare the theoretical knowledge they gain during their studies with real business processes, and high school students had the opportunity to feel the atmosphere of the profession and see for themselves the prospects of financial education.
At the end of the meeting, the guests congratulated the branch team on the holiday, thanked them for their openness and practical insights, and some of the students even seriously thought about completing an internship and further employment at UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group.
