On 18 June 2026, the Department of Financial Technologies and Entrepreneurship hosted the defence of the final-year projects by Bachelor’s degree candidates on the “Finance” programme, specialisation 072 “Finance, Banking and Insurance”.
During the defence, the students presented the results of their own research, focusing on topical issues relating to the development of the financial system, banking, the insurance market and corporate finance in the context of current economic challenges, martial law and digital transformation.
The topics of the theses covered a wide range of practically significant issues. In particular, the students investigated the financial stability of banks and enterprises, the factors ensuring it under martial law, the specifics of how an enterprise’s costs are formed and their impact on the results of financial and economic activity, a comprehensive analysis of the financial condition of enterprises, the effectiveness of the formation and use of working capital, as well as issues relating to the management of accounts receivable.
Particular attention was paid to issues relating to the development of Ukraine’s insurance market, specifically the formation of an insurance company’s portfolio in the context of current challenges and the transformation of the health insurance market under martial law and digitalisation. Another topical area of research was the use of artificial intelligence by participants in Ukraine’s financial services market.
The theses presented demonstrated the graduates’ ability to apply modern methods of financial analysis and risk assessment, as well as analytical tools and digital solutions, to substantiate practical recommendations for improving the efficiency of enterprises, banking institutions and insurance companies.
The examination board noted the relevance of the chosen topics, the high standard of the candidates’ preparation, the practical focus of the research findings, and the students’ ability to present their conclusions and proposals in a well-reasoned manner.
