Cases and insights in the field of intellectual property rights to maximize profits for business

An industrial design or copyright object, or a trademark??? In which cases is the registration of the right to which object of intellectual property is more appropriate and optimal in order to maximize profits for the business. Our students learned about all this in a practice-oriented lesson.

Thus, on October 13, 2021, 2nd-year students majoring in 072 “Business, trade and exchange activities”, educational programs “Electronic business, finance and communications” and “Business, trade and exchange activities”, groups EN-01 / 1pe, EN-01 / 2bfk, EN-01 / 3pe-1, EN-01 / 4bfk-1 within the discipline “Commercialization of technologies”, the theme of the lesson “Objects of intellectual property rights” (teacher Liudmyla Zakharkina) joined the webinar “Designs: tools for protection and profit maximization for business “and consider:

1) how to identify designs and assign them to the business

2) how to protect the design of products, services and optimize time and other business resources

3) industrial designs or copyright: which method is better to choose

4) how to build an IP portfolio that will not only protect from competitors but also maximize profits.

The webinar was conducted by Kateryna Moroz, Senior IP Lawyer, Head of IPSTYLE Brand, Design, and Copyright Management Practices, who shared her practical experience and interesting insights.
