A lecture was held as part of the virtual mobility program “SEE Future: Social, Economic, and Environmental Pillars of Sustainability.”

On November 8, 2024, program participants had the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of the Smart City concept with esteemed lecturer Dubravka Maras from the University of Applied Sciences Baltazar Zapresic (Croatia). The lecture covered the history of the development of the concept, implementation and dissemination of the idea of “smart cities” in Europe.
Particular attention was paid to the experience of the city of Zagreb, a vivid example of the implementation of smart solutions in urban space. Participants learned about the innovative initiatives that have made Croatia’s capital one of the best examples of effective technology use in infrastructure development, environmental safety, and improving residents’ quality of life.
We sincerely thank all the participants for their active participation, as well as the organizers and partner universities for their fruitful cooperation and support of this program. The upcoming lectures promise to be just as engaging. We look forward to them!
