On December 4<\/strong>, 2025<\/strong>, as part of the Insurance Management<\/strong> course, master’s students majoring in D2 \u00abFinance, Banking, Insurance, and Stock Market\u00bb of the educational program \u00abFinance\u00bb met with Iryna Lavryk<\/strong>, head of the insurance department of the Sumy Regional Directorate of PJSC NASK \u00abORANTA\u00bb<\/strong>, who shared her own experience in the insurance business.
It should be noted that a branch of the Department of Financial Technologies and Entrepreneurship, created to improve the professional and practical training of higher education seekers, has been operating at the Sumy Regional Directorate of PJSC NASK \u00abORANTA\u00bb<\/strong> for the fourth year. This year, due to safety conditions, students had the opportunity to visit the branch and talk to Iryna online.
The meeting focused on issues related to the organization of the insurance claims settlement process in the practical activities of an insurance company, which were discussed within the framework of the practical training session \u00abRisk Management in Insurance and Insurance Claims Settlement\u00bb<\/strong>.
During the meeting, students learned:
\u2022 what are the main stages of insurance claims settlement procedures established by insurance companies;
\u2022 what functions are performed by the claims settlement service;
\u2022 what documents must be provided by the insured and what actions must be taken by the parties to the insurance contract in the event of an insured event;
\u2022 how the causes and consequences of an insured event are examined;
\u2022 in which situations insurance companies can refuse to pay insurance compensation;
\u2022 when insurers file recourse claims against persons responsible for causing insurance events.
Students actively participated in the discussion and asked questions.
The event was organized by Olena Zhuravka<\/strong>, a lecturer at the department.
