From July 1 to 10<\/strong>, 3rd year student of the specialty 072 \u00abFinance, Banking and Insurance\u00bb Iryna Kozhushko<\/strong> took part in the 22nd Visegrad Summer School \u00abFuture of Media\u00bb<\/strong>\u00a0in Krakow, Poland. The participants of the summer school were representatives of Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Serbia, Slovenia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Albania. During 10 fruitful days, the participants discussed topics related to the Visegrad Group, the Western Balkans, freedom of journalism, propaganda and its impact on society and geopolitics, the impact of social media and alternative information channels, the development of smart technologies in journalism, etc.
Iryna shares her impressions after returning: \u00abThe future is what we are creating right now!\u00bb – this is how I can briefly describe the 22nd Visegrad Summer School \u00abFuture of Media\u00bb. When applying for this project, I perceived it as a challenge since I\u2019m not someone who is closely involved in the topic of media in everyday life. Now, after a few days after the project, I can say with certainty that it was not only about the future of media, it was about development, international cooperation, and the information that is around us. In general, the summer school was divided into two parts: 8 days of extensive lectures, panel discussions and debates, and then 2 days of workshops and teamwork. The second part was the most important and interesting for me. In the international groups, we had the opportunity to work on our own project, which would be aimed at solving a certain problem of the future media. \u00abInformation is neutral, but the truth…\u00bb\u00a0– this was the question our team tried to answer, and I think we succeeded!
In addition to learning and teamwork, we of course had a chance to get to know the culture and history of the region better: a city tour of the old part of Krakow, a tour of the Villa Decius (where the project took place), and a study visit to O\u015bwi\u0119cim and Auschwitz. I would also like to mention the Multicultural Evening, where we had the opportunity to introduce our colleagues to various aspects of social life in our countries.
In general, the 22nd Visegrad Summer School \u00abFuture of Media\u00bb was not only a fruitful 10 days of study, but also a great deal of new knowledge and skills, a lot of \u00abfood for thought\u00bb.
Once again, I am infinitely grateful to my home department for opening new horizons and such great opportunities not only for professional development, but also for personal growth and making new friends!\u00bb<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
