“Equality or Individualism?” – this is the question asked by every listener of the lecture from the professor Stjepan Lackovi\u0107 of Applied Sciences Baltazar Zapresic (Croatia) within the framework of virtual mobility of the Department of Financial Technologies and Entrepreneurship of Sumy State University. We would like to remind that the main focus of the department’s mobility project is aimed at the gradual consideration of the goals of Sustainable Development in order to build awareness and competences of students in this topic. 01.12.2023 the lecturer presented to the attention of participants of virtual mobility the topic related to the goal of sustainable development under number 10 “Reduction of inequality (reduction of inequality within and between countries)”. <\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, the lecturer shared interesting books on the subject, which we recommend taking into account for reading and reflection: <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 The Unfortunate Land (2010) by Tony Judt. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Against the Third Way (2001) by Alex Kalinikos In general, the lecture left listeners with a positive impression. <\/span><\/p>\n

Everyone had the opportunity to take part in the discussion, because the lecturer encouraged students to express their own thoughts and impressions regarding certain issues on the subject. According to the professor, it is impossible to completely eradicate inequality, but each of us can begin to take small steps to achieve this goal. Therefore, we would like to note the significant contribution of Stjepan Lackovi\u0107 to the development of awareness, consciousness and responsibility of our young community for its future and the future of future generations.
